The Outline is the Bold Block with the middle taken out — open digits, so you read the number by its edge instead of its mass. It comes out lighter on the neck than a solid digit at the same size, and it catches light differently: the inside edges throw a second line of shine that a filled number does not have. The one to pick if Bold Block feels like more than you want to wear every day.

Outline or Bold Block?

Same digits, same width, same price. Bold Block is solid metal and reads heavier from a distance — it is the one that photographs well on a team shot. Outline is lighter to wear and reads more graphic up close. If it is for a younger kid who will wear it all day, we lean Outline. If it is for a milestone photo, we lean Bold Block.

How to order

Type the number — one or two digits — exactly as you want it made, then choose your chain length. Ordering for a whole team? Message us: we quote multiples and ship them together.

Length guide

For a younger athlete, 16" or 18" is usually right. For an adult, 20" or 22" sits on the chest where a number reads best over a shirt. Not sure? Tell us their age and we'll tell you what we'd pick.

How big is the pendant

A single digit sits narrow; two digits are roughly twice the width. The digit height stays the same either way. Message us with the number and we'll tell you exactly how wide it comes out before you buy.

One thing we cannot do

Team names, logos and league marks are trademarked, so we don't make those. Numbers, initials and a player's own name are all fine — which covers almost everything people ask us for.

Why solid .925, not plated

A plated pendant wears through at the edges first, and an outline number is nearly all edge — which is exactly where plating goes. This one is solid .925 sterling silver the whole way through, so there is no finish to lose. It can be polished, soldered and repaired for as long as they own it.

Care

Silver darkens with air and skin — normal, and reversible. A polishing cloth brings it back; on an outline, run it through the open middle too. Take it off for games and practice. Message us any time for a free re-polish on anything you bought from us.
