This is the back of the jersey, on a chain. The name across the top in bold block letters, the number below it — one piece, cast as one piece, not a nameplate with a charm hung off it. It is the only thing we make that says both who they are and what they wore, which is why it is the one parents order at the end of a season and the one teammates order for each other.

How to order

Give us the name and the number, exactly as you want them made. For example: RIVERA — 24. Capitals, lowercase and spacing are copied exactly as you type them. Then choose your chain length.

Read this before you order a long name

This pendant carries two lines, so the name sets the width of the whole piece and the number sits inside that width. A short name makes a compact, square-ish pendant; a long name makes a wide one, and the number underneath looks smaller by comparison. Anything over about eight letters is worth a message first — tell us the name and number and we'll tell you honestly how the two lines will balance before you buy.

Length guide

This is a two-line pendant, so it sits taller than our single-line pieces and hangs better with a little more length. For a younger athlete, 18" is usually right. For an adult, 20" or 22". Not sure? Tell us their age and we'll tell you what we'd pick.

One thing we cannot do

Team names, logos and league marks are trademarked, so we don't make those. A player's own name, their number and initials are all fine — which is exactly what this piece is for.

Why solid .925, not plated

A plated pendant wears through at the edges first — where the chain rubs and where skin sits — usually inside a year, and this piece has a lot of edges. This one is solid .925 sterling silver the whole way through. It can be polished, soldered and repaired for as long as they own it.

Care

Silver darkens with air and skin — normal, and reversible. Rub it with a silver polishing cloth, paying attention to the gap between the two lines. Take it off for games and practice. Message us any time for a free re-polish on anything you bought from us.
